Here are ways you can use Roman Chamomile Essential Oil:
Chamomile: A History There are two main strains of chamomile that humans use, German Chamomile and Roman Chamomile. Though it is named Roman chamomile, the herb was also used in Ancient Egypt. In order to make an essential oil, you must steam the herb or fruit until their oils are extracted. The oil is commonly used today, as it has been for thousands of years, to treat dozens of medical conditions. The herb has antispasmodic (the ability to relieve muscle spasms) properties, and is commonly used to treat conditions like heartburn, anxiety, gout, insomnia, fevers, and even small seizures. European doctors kept chamomile on hand because of its ability to treat inflammation, to ease colic and to help with pain. From Ancient Egyptian cosmetics and medicine, to modern day medicine, this herb has saturated human history with its properties.
